RMS Sparkling Wine
In 1986, ROCO winemaker Rollin Soles arrived in Oregon with a radical idea: To show that the Willamette Valley is the premier sparkling wine region in the New World. In the tradition of Champagne, he believed this marine-influenced landscape north of 45th parallel could grow crisp, fresh-fruited Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
As a 30-year-old dreamer, he drove up in a square-back '68 Volkswagen and built the state's first and largest sparkling wine house. Over three decades later, ROCO Winery's RMS Sparkling Wines showcase excellence made possible by hard-won experience and relentlessly big ideas.
