2020 Kettmeir Chardonnay Vigna Maso Reiner Alto Adige DOC

ABOUT THE ESTATE

Since 1919, Kettmeir has been at the heart of winemaking in Alto Adige in the northeast corner of Italy. The site’s high elevation creates unique conditions for grape cultivation featuring a range of soil types, aspects, and temperatures.  

WINEMAKING PROCESS 

Grapes are soft pressed and vinified “in bianco” (no skin contact). The wine is fermented and aged in French oak barriques for 11 months on the lees. The wine is then bottled in September and continues aging for five more months before release.  

TASTING NOTES 

Golden yellow. Intensely fruity on the nose with scents of banana, pineapple, honey, and vanilla. Full, fresh, and long-lasting on the palate, well-balanced with a lingering hint of spice.  

ENJOY WITH 

Pasta or rice dishes served with white leaner meats: light herbal sauces, grilled fish, shellfish, and full-flavored cheeses.
