2024 Ca' Maiol Prestige Lugana DOC

The Cà Maiol winery was founded in 1967 in the beautiful, lush, and scenic region of Lake Garda.

This Lugana Prestige has a special personality, formed by a clay-rich soil, the mild microclimate of Lake Garda, and the unique and indigenous Turbiana grape variety. The grape selection for the production of Prestige takes place exclusively in the fairly mature Turbiana vineyards of the Maiolo property, the principal site of the Cà Maiol Estate.

TASTING NOTES

Straw yellow with golden reflections, this wine offers green apple, lime, and wild thyme perfumes. On opening releases aromas of oats and white pepper. On the palate, it is pleasant and soft and in perfect equilibrium with all its components. There is a mineral finish. This a delicate wine with a long, tangy finish, obtained by soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel; it is ready for drinking after a brief maturation in bottle, in the spring of the year following the vintage.

Appetizers, raw fish and seafood, pasta or risotto. Also makes an excellent aperitivo on its own.
