2021 Santa Margherita Rive di Refrontolo Extra Brut Prosecco Superiore Valdobbiadene DOCG
Santa Margherita is synonymous with Pinot Grigio to most. Although the brand is proud to have paved the way for this varietal, its roots began with Prosecco as they were one of the first wineries to produce prosecco from the Glera grape in the 1950s, the heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
Refrontolo is in the heart of the finest Prosecco country, where some of the steepest hills in Italy create the most flavorful Glera grapes. The grapes love it here high above sea level, where they benefit from warm days, cool nights, and better drainage. These wondrous Glera grapes are meticulously hand-harvested, assuring only the finest grapes are used. It’s a tedious process on steep terrain, but when you taste the result, you’ll feel as we do — it’s worth it.
Rich aromas of peach and acacia blossom with rennet apple and pear. It is invigorating with a long, multi-layered finish.
Korean pork belly in lettuce wraps to main courses like black bass with herb butter or pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto, sage and sun-dried tomatoes. Santa Margherita's Rive di Refrontolo is a fantastic pairing throughout your evening.
